When Katie Holmes stepped out in her denim mini dress, it appeared that she felt uncomfortable with its length. She was photographed constantly tugging on the dress to make sure she didn’t accidentally flash anyone but when she bent over while flower shopping, she showed a little bit more than she anticipated.
Even after tying a plaid shirt around her waist, she still didn’t appear to be completely comfortable with her attire.

When mesh fabric is paired with a camisole, it allows a celeb to show just the right amount of skin. But when people step out wearing mesh outfits that are completely see-thru, and with nothing else underneath, it can be considered a fashion faux pas.
Celebrities are constantly critiqued for pushing the envelope and stepping outside of the box when it comes to their fashion choices, but thankfully, everyone’s allowed to play by their own rules when it comes to developing their own style.

5. Katy Perry and Riff Raff
At 2014 MTV VMA’S, Katty Perry and rapper Riff Raff channeled their inner Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake with their denim outfits. A little bit of denim here and there is acceptable, but head-to-toe denim is definitely hard to pull off.
The studs and rhinestones gave the outfits a little bit of bling, and it definitely caused Katy and Riff to stand out on the red carpet. Many people may call Katy and Riff’s outfits a fail, but you have to give it up to them for taking a fashion risk.
6. Rihanna
Rihanna doesn’t find herself on a fashion fail list very often. Her style has evolved so much throughout the years, and she is definitely considered a fashion icon at this point. When she stepped out in her green frilly dress, it raised a few eyebrows.
The bright green color caught everyone’s attention, and the ruffles made her appear innocent and child-like. Rihanna can pull off almost any outfit, and she even managed to make this little Bo peep-inspired dress look good.
